Water Tank Installation Brendale
Rainwater tank supply and installation for Brendale, Albany Creek, Cashmere, Dayboro and the wider Pine Rivers area. The north Brisbane storm season delivers substantial roof runoff — capture it for toilets, laundry, and garden irrigation and reduce your mains water reliance year-round. Full licensed plumbing connections and MBRC compliance certification included.
Rainwater Tank Installation Across Brendale & the Pine Rivers Area
The Pine Rivers area receives around 1,400—1,600mm of rainfall annually, with the D'Aguilar Range foothills around Cashmere and Dayboro receiving even more. That's significant roof runoff available to harvest across the area. A well-sized rainwater tank captures that water before it becomes a stormwater problem, storing it for toilets, laundry, and garden irrigation. Most households in Albany Creek and the surrounding suburbs can reduce mains water use by 30—40% with a properly sized and connected system.
Albany Creek, Cashmere, and Dayboro in particular have generous block sizes — many properties have room for a full-size 5,000—10,000L above-ground tank. Bray Park and Strathpine tend to have tighter footprints where slimline options make more sense. We assess the block, recommend the right system for your household usage, and handle the complete installation from tank placement through to licensed plumbing connections and MBRC compliance sign-off.
All installation work is certified and compliant with Queensland plumbing regulations and council requirements. We advise on council rebates where applicable.

What Can You Use Rainwater For?
Rainwater can supply most of your household's non-drinking water needs.
Toilet Flushing
Typically 20–25% of household water use. Requires a licensed connection with appropriate backflow protection.
Laundry
Washing machines use approximately 10–15% of household water. Rainwater connection requires a licensed plumber.
Garden & Irrigation
Outdoor watering, irrigation systems and garden hoses. Connect directly or via pump — no licensed plumber required for outdoor-only use.
Outdoor Taps & Car Wash
Outdoor tap connections for car washing, pathway and driveway cleaning, filling pools and general outdoor use.
Indoor connections require a licensed plumber
Rainwater used for toilets and laundry must be plumbed in correctly with proper cross-connection controls to prevent rainwater from mixing with or contaminating the town water supply. This work requires a licensed plumber and a compliance certificate. All our indoor connections are certified to Queensland standards.
How We Install Your Rainwater Tank
A complete installation handled by licensed plumbers — from first assessment to compliance certificate.
Site Assessment & Sizing
We assess your roof catchment area, available installation space, and what you want to use the rainwater for. From this we recommend the right tank size and type — whether a standard poly tank, slimline, underdeck, or bladder tank — to match your property and goals.
Stable Base Preparation
A full tank can weigh several tonnes. We confirm the base is appropriate — concrete slab, compacted gravel pad or a purpose-built stand — and position the tank in the right location close to the main downpipe and supply area.
Inlet, Outlet & First-Flush Diverter
We connect the downpipe to the tank inlet and install a first-flush diverter — a device that discards the first dirty water off the roof before it enters the tank, keeping your water clean. Tank overflow is also connected to drain safely away from the property.
Pump & Filtration Setup
Most indoor connections require a pressure pump to maintain adequate flow. We select and install an appropriate pump and any filtration required, and connect the supply line to your plumbing system. A backflow prevention device is installed where the system connects to town water (for backup supply).
Test, Certify & Customer Handover
We test the full system before we leave — inlet, pump, all connections and overflow. We issue a compliance certificate for the plumbing work, and walk you through how the system operates, how to maintain it and what to check periodically.
